Segrids specializes on target-to-device authentication, in particular to anti-counterfeit solutions. Segrids was founded as a service provider for security analysis and testing of high security MCUs. Segrids won the DPA contest 2014. DPA is one of the most powerful methods to disclose cryptographic keys.
In view of the disadvantages of cryptographic authentication schemes as anti-counterfeit solutions, Segrids proposes a new authentication scheme, ideally suited for this field of application. The main disadvantage of cryptographic authentication is that solutions without certified
hardware security modules are vulnerable to standard attack methods, and solutions with certified hardware security modules are expensive. The Segrids anti-counterfeit solution strikes a new path. It will be presented the first time at the Embedded World exposition 2020.
